      李龍博士先后在中國科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)獲得學(xué)士和碩士學(xué)位,在美國Lehigh大學(xué)獲得博士學(xué)位,并在巴黎地球物理研究所(IPGP)和多倫多大學(xué)(Univ. of Toronto)從事博士后研究。目前任職于加拿大阿爾伯塔大學(xué)(Univ. of Alberta)地球與大氣科學(xué)系任助理教授,同時(shí)也是加拿大研究學(xué)會(huì )穩定同位素專(zhuān)業(yè)主席(Canada Research Chair)。常年從事穩定同位素研究,主要利用C、N、S、Cl等元素的同位素體系來(lái)研究高溫地幔、地殼過(guò)程以及低溫地表生物地球化學(xué)過(guò)程。以第一作者和通訊作者在Nature Communications、Earth and Planetary Science Letters、Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta、Chemical Geology、Journal of Geophysical Research等期刊發(fā)表論文十余篇。
      Abstract:
      Carbon and nitrogen are two most important elements on Earth’s surface and can impact the physicochemical properties of the mantle and the core. Understanding Earth’s carbon and nitrogen cycles has been a major goal of Earth system science for more than a decade. However, whether crustal carbon and nitrogen can be subducted into the mantle beyond the arc depth is still hotly debated. In this talk, I will present some of our recent studies to show that subducted carbon and nitrogen in the slab can survive the arc “subduction barrier” to be further delivered into the deeper mantle.
